I was up early so I went down to the shore to watch the sunrise. I then walked through Lake Shore East Park to Wildberry Pancakes and Cafe where I had breakfast.
After some great pancakes, I took the "L" around to the Willis Tower, formerly Sears Tower.
I was actually first in the queue so when I got to the Skydeck, I had the place to myself. I went out onto the glass ledge - a funny feeling but great views!
I have to confess that I preferred 360 Chicago at the John Hancock Center.
I walked my way back to Millenium Park through the city. I took the Historic U.S. 66 which leads directly to the Art Institute of Chicago, where I spent the afternoon.
My favourite painting hangs here but it was so crowded I couldn't appreciate it. However, I found some other incredible paintings from amongst others Hopper, Sargent and Bellows
