Naperville - Chicago
I breakfasted in La Grange at the Blueberry Hill Cafe - delicious French Toast.
I then went to the Brookfield Zoo which had always been on my list of zoos to be visited. I especially loved the Primate hall which takes you from the treetops downwards. Great zoo!
I travelled through the University of Chicago to stop at Promontory Point. From here you have a wonderful view of Chicago. Driving up Lake Shore Drive, the city became increasingly larger and I could recognise some of the buildings I wanted to visit - Willis Tower and John Hancock Center.
I drove past Grant and Millenium parks, Navy Pier, North Avenue Beach and Lincoln Park before turning the car at Belmont Harbor.
I dropped off the car and headed to my hotel, the Wyndham Grand at the Riverfront.
Settled in my room, I decided to walk up the Magnificient Mile (N. Michigan Ave) to the John Hancock Center.
The views of the city from 360 Chicago (John Hancock Center) are incredible. I watched the sun going down in the west, oohing and aahing with the crowd.
