Tucson - Willcox
Early up the next morning to drive over the Grants Pass road to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. This really isn't a museum but a zoo of kinds. It specializes in the flora and fauna of the Arizona desert. Here I came across Javelinas for the first time. Javelinas are not pigs but are a kind of peccary. We spent several very interesting hours here.
From here we drove down to Tombstone, the Town Too Tough to Die. Getting out of the car at Boothill Graveyard, we realized when the cowboys wore long coats. It was freezing!!! Everything is almost as it used to be in the days of the Clantons and the Earps - they even re-enact the Gunfight at the OK Corral on Sunday. This was great fun.
We stayed the night in Willcox which is on the I 10.
