Moab - Torrey

First we drove northwards to the I-50 and then turned southwards again after Green River towards Hanksville. The road to Hanksville was finally tarred in 1959!!!!

On the way is Goblin Valley. This area is inhabitated by goblins - well, stone shapes that look like goblins.

Capitol Reef National Park follows the Waterpocket Fold, which was formed millions of years ago. The Mormons settle here in 1880s and managed to cultivate fruit orchards. Unfortunately the main scenic drive in the park was blocked due to flooding so we carried on towards Torrey, where we spent the night.

In the evening we went up to Fish Lake which was frozen and the area was covered in deep snow.
